How do we rank breakout TikTok creators?

Who we look at: Individual TikTok creators in the Tokfluence index (about 20M profiles) analysed in the last 30 days, with at least 2% engagement, shortlisted by average views per video.

The score: Breakout score = median views of the creator's September 2026 videos divided by their follower count. A score of 20x means their typical (median) September video reached about 20 times their follower count, so one lucky viral video is not enough.

Filters:

  • At least 3 videos posted in September 2026
  • Engagement (likes, comments, shares divided by views) of 2.0% or more, which removes paid ads with inflated views
  • Breakout list: 10K to 2M followers
  • No brand, shop or official accounts, and no adult content

What this does not show:

  • Views are counted when we last analysed each video, usually a few days after it was posted, so recent videos can be undercounted.
  • Only creators in the Tokfluence index are ranked, so creators we have not analysed yet are missing.
