We have used Modash. It is genuinely good, and if you need Instagram you should probably buy it. What follows is the honest case for the other choice.
Almost nobody leaves Modash because the product is bad. They leave because of the meter. You are already paying $199 a month, and you are still doing arithmetic about how many creators you are allowed to open this week.
The complaints that come up again and again:
In practice that turns into:

Modash pricing from modash.io/pricing, September 2026. Enterprise starts at $14,700 per year.
Both of us sell API access separately from the platform, and this is where the two companies look least alike. Modash treats it as enterprise: $10,000 a year to start, $16,200 for Discovery, and a call with sales before you can touch it. Ours is a signup form and $49 a month.

Modash API pricing from modash.io/api, September 2026. Tokfluence API plans: Growth $49/month for 5,000 profile credits, Pro $99/month for 10,000. Full detail on the TikTok API page.
Which mostly decides who gets to build anything. A developer can have our API returning creator data this afternoon. The other route starts with a meeting and a commitment about seventeen times larger, which is a very different conversation to have with your finance team.
Five things, roughly in the order people bring them up when they switch.
One paid plan. $99 a month. Nothing to compare, nothing to top up.
For reference, Modash runs $199 a month for 2 seats and 300 profile views, $499 for 5 seats and 800 views, and Enterprise opens at $14,700 a year. Three tiers to work out before you have looked at a single creator.
Search and profile views are unlimited on both plans, including the free one.
This is the difference that actually changes how you work. Discovery is mostly looking. Twenty creators worth briefing usually means opening a couple of hundred profiles, and under a 300-view cap that is your whole month gone. The real cost is not the money, it is that you start checking fewer creators properly.
We do not have an outreach inbox, and we are not planning one.
Modash does, and going by the reviews it is the weakest thing they ship. We would only have built a worse version of the tool you are already using, so we export cleanly instead and get out of the way.
TikTok is not one of three platforms we cover. It is the whole product, and the depth shows.
You do not have to guess keywords to use it. In the clip below, the query is typed in plain English, "UK women over 40 years talking about menopause", and Tokfluence turns that sentence into structured filters: country, gender, age signals and topic. The search returns 98 matching TikTok creators, each with follower count, engagement rate and average views, ready to filter further or export. The typing is sped up four times; the search and the results run at real speed.
Breadth versus depth is the honest framing. Modash spans more platforms. Nobody goes deeper into TikTok than we do.
Every other tool here can only hand back what it already has. If your niche is thin, that is the end of the conversation.
We just go and crawl it. Ask for something we are light on and the list lands back with you in 30 minutes to an hour.
If you need Instagram and YouTube, buy Modash. We are not going to pretend otherwise to win a signup we would lose again in month two.
If the campaign is TikTok, we think this is the better buy, and the free plan means you do not have to take our word for it. Run your normal discovery against our index for an afternoon. If the creators you would actually book are not in there, you have lost nothing but the afternoon.
Start free, no cardYes, about half. $99 a month against $199, and there is a free plan that does not expire rather than a 14-day trial.
No. TikTok only, and that is a deliberate choice rather than a gap we are working on. If Instagram matters to you, Modash is the better buy.
Over 15 million, and it grows around what people actually search for. If someone is missing we will crawl for them, usually inside the hour.
No. Look at as many as you like. The only thing we count is verified email reveals, and 10,000 a month is not a ceiling most teams find.
Yes. We publish an MCP server, so you can ask Claude for the shortlist and it queries the index directly rather than you clicking through it.
No. The price is on the site, signup is self-serve, and the free plan does not ask for a card.
