Finding influencers is a filtering problem, not a browsing one. Describe the creator you want, set the country and the follower range, then cut the list on engagement until what is left is people you would actually book. Tokfluence runs that search across more than 15 million creators.
Start from who the creator is, not from how famous they are. The order below matters, because each step is cheap to undo and the last one, contacting people, is not.

Niche, country and engagement do most of the work. The rest are there to break ties. Here is what each filter in our influencer search actually does, and where it quietly misleads you.
| Filter | What it tells you | Use it for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Niche keyword or plain-language brief | Who the creator is: bio, hashtags, captions | Start here, always | One word finds one vocabulary. "Postpartum" and "pelvic floor" return different people |
| Precision | How strongly the keyword has to define the creator | When results are too loose or too thin | Tight precision on a small niche returns almost nothing |
| Country | Where the creator, and usually the audience, is | Any brief that ships to specific markets | Creators with no country on file are dropped, not just foreign ones |
| Follower range | Reach, and roughly what they will charge | Matching the budget | Followers alone say nothing about who still watches |
| Engagement rate and average views | Whether the audience is still paying attention | Ranking a shortlist | Small accounts post high rates on tiny absolute numbers |
| Mentions and hashtags | Brands and campaigns the creator already posted about | Finding people who already work in your category | A mention is not always a paid partnership |
| Linked Instagram / YouTube | Whether the creator also publishes on those networks | Cross-platform deals | Linked does not mean equally big there |
| Contact available | Email, phone or management on file | Last, once the list is right | Filtering on it first hides good creators who list a manager instead |

Fewer than you would think, which is the point. We ran one keyword through our own index in October 2026 and added one filter at a time. Five filters took a list of 159,659 down to 2,416, a cut of 98.5%.
| Search | Creators matching | What the step removed |
|---|---|---|
| Keyword "fitness", no filters | 159,659 | Everyone who uses the word in a bio, hashtag or caption. |
| + Country: United States | 44,361 | A further 17,236 matched but carry no country on file, so the filter dropped them. |
| + 10k to 100k followers | 19,464 | Big enough to matter, small enough for a first-campaign budget. |
| + Engagement rate 5% or more | 8,790 | Removes accounts whose followers no longer interact. |
| + Contact email on file | 3,444 | People you can reach without a DM. |
| + Linked Instagram account | 2,416 | Creators who also publish on Instagram, for a cross-platform brief. |
Source: Tokfluence creator index, queried October 2026. Counts are creators whose bio, hashtags or captions match the keyword, so shops and brand accounts are included and a share of every page is discarded by hand. "Email on file" means an address is listed, not that it has been verified.
Two things stand out. The country filter alone removed 17,236 creators who match everything else but have no country recorded. If a niche looks thin in one market, run it once without the country and read locations off the bios. And engagement halved the list on its own: more than half of the US fitness creators in that follower range in our index do not clear 5%.
Yes, through the creators who publish on more than one network. Our index is built from TikTok, and many of those creators link their Instagram and YouTube accounts. You can filter on that link, and the linked Instagram and YouTube accounts are shown alongside the TikTok profile.
That covers the cross-platform brief well: one creator, one deal, posts on two or three networks. It does not cover a campaign that only runs on Instagram or only on YouTube, because creators who never joined TikTok are not in our index. For those, a multi-platform tool is the better pick, and our comparison pages say which.
You can find influencers without paying for anything. What the free routes cannot give you is a filter, a statistic or a contact detail, so the work moves into a spreadsheet.
| Method | Cost | What you actually get | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Influencer search database | Monthly plan | Millions of creators, filtered and ranked with stats and contacts | Building a shortlist you can actually book |
| Native search in the app | Free | Popular accounts first, no filters for country, size or engagement | Checking one name |
| Google and "best of" lists | Free | The same few hundred well-known names everyone else found | Celebrity-tier campaigns |
| Creator marketplace | Free to browse, fee per booking | Only creators who chose to list themselves | Buying a deliverable quickly |

Tokfluence is free to start, with no card. Pro is $99 a month: 10,000 credits (one credit is one profile), 20,000 searches a month, unlimited profile views, CSV export and campaign tracking. Agency, at $199, doubles the credits to 20,000, removes the search limit and adds API and MCP access. If you would rather hand the searching over, the Discovery Service ($499 a month) has our team run the searches and filter the lists by hand. Full detail is on the pricing page.
The number to compare across tools is not the monthly price but what is metered. Modash Essentials, for example, is $199 a month for 300 opened profiles and 150 email unlocks (modash.io/pricing, read September 2026). Opening profiles is where vetting happens, so that is the cap that decides whether you finish the shortlist. On Tokfluence, profile views are not capped on any plan.
Teams running an always-on creator programme who need seeding, payments and affiliate links in one system. We find and vet people at volume, then hand clean data to the tools you already run outreach in.
And, again, brands whose campaigns live only on Instagram or only on YouTube. We would rather say so here than win a signup that cancels in month two.
Describe the creator you want in one sentence, including the niche and the country, run it through an influencer search tool, then narrow by follower range and engagement. In Tokfluence you can type the sentence as it is, for example "vegan meal-prep creators in the UK with more than 50k followers", and it is turned into filters for you.
Search the words creators in that niche actually write in their bios and hashtags, not the words your marketing team uses. Run two or three variants and combine the results. If the niche is genuinely thin in our index, we crawl it on demand and return the list in 30 to 60 minutes.
Yes. Country is one of the filters, alongside follower range, engagement rate, hashtags, mentions and contact availability. One thing to know: creators with no country on file are removed by the filter even though they may well be in the right place. In our fitness example that was 17,236 people.
Partly. The index is built from TikTok creators, and you can filter for the ones who have linked an Instagram or YouTube account, with those accounts shown on the creator profile. Searching Instagram itself and deep Instagram audience analysis are not part of the standard plans. If you need them, we build custom plans, including on-demand Instagram crawling: contact us through the pricing page.
Native app search and Google are free, but neither lets you filter by country, engagement or contact availability. Tokfluence has a free plan with no card, and Pro is $99 a month with 20,000 searches and unlimited profile views.
Run your own brief through the filters
The free plan needs no card, so you can see how many creators match your niche before you pay.
In the words of people who use Tokfluence.
Made our first influencer campaign possible
We had zero experience running influencer campaigns and didn't know where to begin. The search made it simple to find people in our niche, the contact info was accurate, and we had a working shortlist the same day. Ended up booking 14 creators for our launch. Would recommend to any small team doing this for the first time.
I love the précision filter
Most search tools give you either too broad a list or nothing. I like that thos one lets you dial how tight the match is. That alone saved me from the usual hour of manually filtering out irrelevant profiles.
