TikTok Creator Marketplace (TikTok One): What It Is and What It Lacks
Most Creator Marketplace guides predate the move to TikTok One and still quote the old 10,000-follower rule. Here is how it works now, what it is missing, and when to use both.
TL;DR
- TikTok Creator Marketplace now lives inside TikTok One. The standalone site stopped taking new campaigns in March 2025, and brands now find creators under "Explore creators" in TikTok One.
- It is free to use. TikTok says it charges no service fee to brands or creators for TikTok One payments, though your payment provider may.
- You only see creators who signed up. Search is limited to creators registered on TikTok One, aged 18+, in a launched region, and by default only in your own region.
- The old 10,000-follower rule mostly survives in blog posts. TikTok's own help pages now say 1,000+ followers to join projects. In our index of TikTok creators with 1,000+ followers, 78% sit below 10,000: at least 13.8 million accounts on TikTok.
- Use both if you can. TikTok One is the better pick for official deals, payments and Spark Ads. An independent index like Tokfluence covers public creators who never joined, with contact emails where they publish one.
Most guides to the TikTok Creator Marketplace were written before it moved. They still quote eligibility rules TikTok no longer publishes, and they rarely say what the tool cannot do.
This one covers what the Creator Marketplace is in 2026, who can use it, what it costs, its real limits, and when a separate creator search tool fills the gap. Every claim about TikTok links to TikTok's own help centre where one exists.
What is the TikTok Creator Marketplace?
The TikTok Creator Marketplace is TikTok's official tool for brands to find creators, invite them to paid projects, and pay them through TikTok. Since 2025 it is a section of TikTok One, TikTok's creative platform for advertisers, rather than a separate website.
TikTok describes TikTok One as including the Creator Marketplace, Creator AI Search, Partner Exchange (approved agencies and production partners) and Content Suite, which helps brands find creator videos and boost them as Spark Ads (TikTok for Business blog, May 2026).
Is the TikTok Creator Marketplace still available?
Yes, but only inside TikTok One. TikTok wound down the standalone site in early 2025 and moved brands and creators across. You now log in with your TikTok for Business account.
The timeline, as TikTok announced it:
| Date | What changed |
|---|---|
| 1 March 2025 | No new campaigns could be launched on the standalone Creator Marketplace |
| 10 March 2025 | No new campaigns posted on Creator Marketplace or TikTok Creative Challenge; creators told to move to TikTok One |
| 1 April 2025 | Standalone Creator Marketplace shut down, the site redirects to TikTok One |

If you are searching for "TikTok Creator Marketplace login" today, the answer is TikTok One, reached through your TikTok for Business or Ads Manager account.
Who can use TikTok One as a creator?
TikTok's current rules for creators are short. To sign up, you must:
- be at least 18 years old
- be in a country or region where TikTok One has launched
- meet TikTok's Community Guidelines and Branded Content Policy
To take part in projects, creators need 1,000+ followers "and other requirements", which each project can set (TikTok, How creators can sign up for TikTok One, updated July 2026).
What about the 10,000 followers and 100,000 likes rule?
That was the old standalone Creator Marketplace's invitation bar, and it still circulates on blogs: 10,000 followers, 100,000 video likes and 3 posts in the last 28 days (JoinBrands, 2026). TikTok's own TikTok One help pages no longer state it. They state 1,000+ followers for projects, with each brand free to set a higher bar.
The difference matters for brands, because most creators are small. We counted it in our own index:
| Creators with 1,000+ followers in our TikTok index | Share | At least, on TikTok | Share of TikTok's 1.59B ad reach |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 to 9,999 followers | 78% | 13.8 million | 0.87%, about 1 in 115 |
| 10,000 followers or more | 22% | 3.8 million | 0.24%, about 1 in 420 |
Measured: Tokfluence creator index, queried 16 October 2026 (17.6 million profiles with 1,000+ followers, 3.8 million of them with 10,000+). "At least" applies each share to the 17.6 million creators in our index (78% x 17.6M = 13.8M; 22% x 17.6M = 3.8M), so it is a floor, not a census: TikTok has more accounts than we have crawled. Reach figure from DataReportal, January 2025.
Under the old 10,000-follower bar, roughly four in five of those creators would not have qualified. Under today's 1,000+ rule they can, but only if they sign up. That small band is worth reaching: in our follower tier breakdown, nano creators (1,000 to 10,000 followers) had the highest median engagement rate of any tier, 7.0%.
What do brands get from TikTok One?
Brands get a search tool over opted-in creators, a project and payment flow, and a direct path from creator content to ads. From TikTok's help centre:
| Feature | What it does | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Explore creators | Search by username or keyword, with filters for creator country, followers, follower gender ratio, language, audience age and gender, audience personas, median views and engagement rate | How to find creators in TikTok One, June 2026 |
| Search with AI | Describe the campaign in plain language; returns up to 200 creators. Select customers only | Same page, and TikTok One blog post |
| Projects | Invite creators directly, share an invite link, or let creators apply | About collaborating with creators on TikTok One projects, April 2026 |
| Lite projects | An invite link for creators who are not on TikTok One yet | How to find creators in TikTok One |
| Payment models | Base pay only, revenue share only (in-feed ads), or base pay plus revenue share | About TikTok One creator payment models, April 2026 |
| Content Suite and Spark Ads | Find creator videos and boost them as ads from the same platform. Content Suite is a global beta, through your TikTok rep | TikTok One blog post, May 2026 |
The data is first-party. Audience demographics and median views come from TikTok itself, which no outside tool can match.
How much does the TikTok Creator Marketplace cost?
Nothing to access. TikTok states it does not charge brands or creators a service fee for using TikTok One's payment service, though your payment provider may charge its own fees (TikTok help centre, as quoted by Billo, October 2026). You pay the creator's rate, plus whatever you then spend on ads.
That makes TikTok One the obvious first stop for any brand already spending on TikTok ads.
What does TikTok One lack?
Its limits all come from the same design choice: it is a closed marketplace of opted-in creators, run inside TikTok.
- Only creators who signed up. Explore creators shows creators who work with TikTok One, not every public account. A creator who never registered is invisible to search, however well they fit.
- Region-locked search. TikTok's help page says you can "only view and search for creator information within your current region". Running a campaign across five countries means switching regions, and creators only appear where TikTok One has launched.
- Outreach stays inside TikTok. Brands reach creators through TikTok's invitation and project flow; TikTok's help pages describe no email or phone contact for creators. Gifting, off-platform deals and long-term ambassador contracts have to be arranged some other way.
- Some of the best features are gated. Search with AI is for select customers, and Content Suite needs a request through a TikTok account representative.
None of these make it a bad tool. They make it a marketplace, not an index.
Where does an independent creator index fit?
An independent index covers the creators TikTok One does not show you: every public TikTok creator it has crawled, whether or not they ever signed up for anything.
Tokfluence is one of those. Our index holds public TikTok creators with 1,000+ followers, with no sign-up needed on the creator's side, and you can search it by keyword, plain-language description, followers, engagement, region, hashtags and the brands a creator mentions. We are not affiliated with TikTok; the data comes from public profiles.
Creator Search in Tokfluence: describe the creator in plain words, then filter the results.
Three things it does that TikTok One does not, starting with our main difference:
- Live crawls when the index is thin. If your niche is underserved, the Tokfluence MCP server lets Claude or another AI assistant start a live crawl of TikTok from the chat. It costs 250 credits, and the new creators become searchable a few hours later (MCP docs). We compared this against other servers in our TikTok MCP servers roundup.
- Contact details where creators publish them. When a creator lists an email in their profile, Tokfluence shows it, so you can reach them directly, and every list exports to CSV for your outreach tool.
- Search across countries at once. One search can filter several regions together, with no region switching.
The honest limit on our side: estimated data, not first-party. Follower counts, views and engagement are read from public profiles, and audience demographics are not something we can see the way TikTok can.
TikTok One or Tokfluence: which should you use?
They do different jobs, so the useful question is which job you have.
| Tokfluence | TikTok One (Creator Marketplace) | |
|---|---|---|
| Who is in it | Public TikTok creators with 1,000+ followers that we have indexed, no sign-up needed | Creators who registered for TikTok One, 18+, in launched regions |
| Data source | Public profile data, estimated metrics | First-party TikTok data, including audience demographics |
| Search across regions | Several regions in one search | Your current region by default |
| Contact details | Public emails where creators list one; CSV export | Outreach via TikTok invitations and projects |
| Payments and contracts | Not included; you pay creators directly | Built in, no TikTok service fee |
| Spark Ads | Not included | Built in, via Content Suite (beta) and Ads Manager |
| Niche not covered? | Live crawl on demand via the MCP server | Wait for creators to join |
| What you pay for | Profiles pulled: $99 / 10,000 = $9.90 per 1,000 on Pro | No TikTok service fee; you pay creators and your ad spend |
TikTok One details from the TikTok help centre pages linked above. Tokfluence from our pricing page and the developer docs, October 2026.
Pick Tokfluence when you need creators TikTok One does not show you: small niche creators, several countries at once, a list you can export and email, or a niche that needs a fresh crawl. Our guide to finding micro-influencers walks through that band.
Pick TikTok One when you want an official deal with payment, contracts and Spark Ads handled in one place, you already spend on TikTok ads, and the creators you need are big enough to have registered. For whitelisted ad campaigns it is hard to beat.
Use both for most real campaigns. Build the shortlist in Tokfluence, then send the creators a TikTok One Lite project invite link if you want the deal and payment to run through TikTok. The two do not compete for the same step.
What does Tokfluence cost?
One credit is one creator profile. Plans are priced by how many profiles you pull a month:
| Plan | Price | What you get | Cost per 1,000 profiles |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $99 a month | 10,000 credits, 20,000 searches, 3 Ultra Searches | $99 / 10 = $9.90 |
| Agency | $199 a month | 20,000 credits shared with the API and MCP, unlimited searches, 15 Ultra Searches | $199 / 20 = $9.95 |
| Discovery Service | $499 a month | 100,000 credits, and our team runs the searches and hand-filters the list | $499 / 100 = $4.99 |
There is a free plan with no card. MCP access, including live crawls, is on Agency and above. Developers can also use the TikTok API on its own plan from $49 a month. Source: tokfluence.com/pricing, read October 2026.
